This is how we do it
Our wood floor restoration process combines precision, care, and state-of-the-art dust-free sanding technology. Using professional extraction systems, we remove old finishes and imperfections, smooth the surface, and apply high-quality protective coatings for a flawless result that lasts for years.
1. Preparation
We inspect and secure all loose boards, ensure nails are below surface level, and remove tacks, staples, and carpet grippers to prepare the area for sanding.
2. Initial Sanding & Levelling
Using a 99.9% dust-free belt sander, we begin with a coarse grit to level and clean the surface, followed by progressively finer abrasives to achieve a perfectly smooth finish.
3. Edge & Detail Sanding
Specialised edge sanders ensure a uniform finish even in corners, around radiators, and other hard-to-reach areas.
4. Filling & Repair
Small gaps and holes are filled with a custom resin and fine wood dust mixture, matching the colour and texture of your existing floor.
5. Fine Finishing & Polishing
A rotary sanding stage with ultra-fine grit ensures an even, silky-smooth finish across the entire surface.
6. Protective Coating
Choose between:
A – Lacquer Finish:
Application of a high-quality primer followed by three coats of durable water-based lacquer for a rich, glossy look. The surface cures within approximately 8 hours for light foot traffic and 24 hours before replacing furniture.
B – Oil Finish:
Two layers of hard wax oil deliver a natural, matte appearance that enhances wood grain while providing resistance to moisture and dirt. Light foot traffic can resume after 4 hours, with full curing in 24 hours.
7. Final Touch
We finish with a professional vacuum and dust removal, leaving your space spotless and your floor perfectly renewed.
Whether you choose a lacquered or oiled finish, Anyfloor guarantees a premium restoration service that enhances both the appearance and longevity of your wooden floors — without the mess or inconvenience of traditional sanding.
